A Labrador in the numismatic office

Hi Collectors Club, Cooper here. 🐾

In case we haven’t met: I’m Cooper – a Labrador and something like the youngest employee at Wasserthal RareCoin.Store. My human “parents” spend their days talking about rare gold coins, examining coins, and helping collectors from all over the world with their questions.

And of course, they also sell coins. After all, my treats have to be paid for somehow. 🐾

At Wasserthal RareCoin.Store, everything revolves around rare gold coins , numismatic collector coins, and the international coin collector market . When you grow up as a dog in the middle of a numismatic office every day, you’re practically destined to learn something about coins yourself eventually.

And so, quite incidentally, I became a little numismatist on four paws .

What I have learned in the last few months

Over the past few months, I’ve spent a lot of time among coin capsules, slabs, and shipping boxes. While I used to mainly just snoop around out of curiosity, I’ve now increasingly had the opportunity to listen in on conversations with collectors.

I noticed something interesting.

Collectors from all over the world surprisingly often ask similar questions about gold coins, rarity , grading , collector value , or special years .

Collector questions from around the world

Last week , Francesco from near Barcelona wrote to us. He has been collecting gold coins for many years and wanted to know why some coins can be worth significantly more than their pure gold content.

Shortly afterwards , Markus from Zurich contacted us with another question: Why are certain years of a coin suddenly in high demand?

And Alessandro from near Rome was interested in why many collectors specifically look for certified coins from NGC or PCGS .

For experienced numismatists, such topics are often self-evident. However, for many collectors – especially those starting out – they are not always easy to understand.

The idea behind this section

Collector questions with Cooper.

Here I collect questions that collectors send us via email , phone, WhatsApp, or social media. My task is simple: I try to explain these topics surrounding numismatic gold coins and the international collector market as clearly as possible.

Sometimes with examples from numismatics.
Sometimes with comparisons from the dog park.

Surprisingly, many complex things are easier to understand when viewed from a different perspective.

Questions that many collectors have

So if you’ve ever wondered,

Then you’ve come to the right place.

Welcome to my little knowledge section

At Wasserthal RareCoin.Store, I now have my own little knowledge corner. Here, I collect collector questions from all over the world and try to explain topics related to gold coins, numismatics, and collector value in an understandable way. 🐾

I’m Cooper – and I’ll take you on a journey through the world of numismatics. Together, we’ll explore the questions that truly concern collectors: from rare gold coins and grading to collector value and the small details that make a coin a special collector’s item.

So feel free to come along.

I already have the next collector questions on my desk. 🐾
