In the center of the surrounding beaded decoration there is a representation of the ensemble of the Trinity Gate Church of Lavra and a fragment of its main bell tower. To the right of it is the coat of arms of Ukraine. Below around the perimeter of the coin are inscriptions: 200 ГРИВЕНЬ – in two lines and 1996, the year of issue – above. Around the circumference of the coin there are inscriptions: УКРАЇНА – on the left and КИЕВО-ПЕЧЕРСЬКА ЛАВРА – on the right.

In the upper part of the composition there are fragments of murals of the Trinity Gate Church: БОГ ОТЕЦЬ, БОГ СИН, БОГ ДУХ СВЯТИЙ with corresponding inscriptions in Old Slavonic script. Below is the image of the Mother of God, the patron saint of the Zaporizhzhya Cossacks. All images are depicted on clouds. Among them is the Lavra panorama from the engraving by L. Tarasevich, first printed in the book Pateryk Pechorskiy (1702). The image is framed with the beaded perimeter decoration. On both sides of the image are the designations Аu 900 and 15.55, the pure weight of the coin.
