In the middle a duet performing a pas de deux from the first act, at the edge from left to right the inscription “СПЯЩАЯ КРАСАВИЦА” (SLEEPING BEAUTY).

Information:
The ballet “Sleeping Beauty” was created in 1889 by the great Russian composer Pyotr Tchaikovsky. It premiered on January 3, 1890, at the Mariinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg. The choreography is by Marius Petipa and is based on Charles Pérault’s fairy tale about the tragic love between Princess Aurora and Prince Désire and the triumph of good over evil. The libretto was written by I.A. Vsevolzhsky, the director of the Imperial Theatre.
