Mexico – 2013 – Libertad – Gold Proof Set – 1.9oz – 5 gold coins – NGC PF70 Ultra Cameo

This is the 1.9oz Gold Proof Set from 2013 of the famous Libertad gold coins. All 5 coins were certified by NGC with the highest grade PF70 UCAM (Ultra Cameo).

On one side of the Libertad gold coins you can see the goddess of victory, Victoria, as a symbol of Mexico’s independence. The motif for this was the monument El Angel de la Independencia in Mexico City. In the background you can see a representation of the two volcanoes Popocatépetl and Iztaccíhuatl. Additionally imprinted are the fineness and the year of minting.

The other side of the Libertad gold coin features Mexico’s national coat of arms and the text “Estados Unidos Mexicanos” (“United States of Mexico”), surrounded by ten historical forms of the coat of arms.
