Description
This is the rare gold coin “500 Balboas Panama Gold” in proof quality from 1975. This copy is limited to only 9824 editions worldwide and for this reason is particularly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts around the world.
This gold coin is produced and issued by the Franklin Mint.
Front:
On the obverse of the coin is the kneeling and armored Vasco Nunez de Balboa. He holds a sword in his right hand and a flag in his left. The gold coin is inscribed with the words “VASCO NUÑEZ DE BALBOA DESCUBRIDOR DEL PACIFICO” and the year of minting “1975”.
Back:
On the back is the coat of arms of Balboa. The reverse of the gold coin has the inscriptions: “REPUBLICA DE PANAMA”, “900/1000 ORO FINO” and “500 BALBOAS”.
