In the center you can see the emblem of the Bank of Russia. This represents a two-headed eagle with wings down. Below it you can see the semicircular inscription “БАНК РОССИИ” (BANK OF RUSSIA). This image is framed by a circle of dots and inscriptions along the edge. On the top edge: “ОДНА ТЫСЯЧА РУБЛЕЙ” (ONE THOUSAND RUBLES). On the bottom edge: on the left – data on the precious metal and its fineness, in the center – the year of issue “2008 г.” (2008), on the right – the precious metal content and the mint mark.
The back
On the reverse of the gold coin Kamchatka 5oz is the image of the extinct volcano with the reflection of its top against the water surface. At the bottom of the volcano trees are visible and at the top the inscription: “ВУЛКАНЫ КАМЧАТКИ” (VULCANE OF KAMCHATKA).
This gold coin was made by the artist and sculptor V.M. Erokhin. The mint is the Moscow Mint (MMД). The edge of the gold coin consists of 210 fluting.
