This high-quality gold coin from Zaire (now the Democratic Republic of Congo) dates from 1975 and is part of the internationally renowned WWF Conservation Series . The series was launched in the 1970s as a numismatic project for nature and species conservation and is now one of the established collecting areas for modern world gold coins. Issues with clear, iconic animal motifs and high levels of preservation are particularly sought after.

The motif depicts the leopard , one of Africa’s most distinctive predators and a central symbol of African wildlife.
