The 2017 Natura Series Springbok Gold Coins, designed by renowned South African sculptor Coert Steynberg, are a stunning addition to your coin collection. Part of the Natura series celebrating the golden anniversary of the Krugerrand, these coins feature original springbok designs created by Steynberg in 1946/47.

These coins were made in South Africa in 2017 and are made of pure gold with a fineness of 0.999, which makes them a valuable and rare addition to your collection. The Natura series has traditionally consisted of four gold coins, but in 2017 a new size was introduced in the form of the 1/20 oz coin, offering collectors even more options.

Each coin in this series includes concept drawings submitted for the 1947 5 shilling coin depicting the springbok, South Africa’s national animal, in various states of motion. The reverse of the coins features these beautiful designs, and the ½-ounce coin features a pair of springboks.

The issue here is the 1/2oz of the 2017 Natura Series Springbok coin and is a top pop, with NGC PF70 Ultra Cameo grading for exceptional quality and pristine condition. With only 144 coins in circulation at this grading level, this issue is a very rare find that is highly sought after by collectors and investors alike.
