Krugerrand 2014 Privy Mark 20 Years of Democracy 1oz Proof Gold – PCGS PR69 DCAM

This is the Krugerrand Mintmark issue from 2014. The 1 oz gold coin bears the 20 years of democracy in South Africa mintmark.

The obverse of the Krugerrand gold coin depicts the world-famous portrait of Paul Kruger, after whom the series of Krugerrand coins was named. Paul Kruger, then President of South Africa (1883 to 1902), founded the mint from which the South African Mint emerged.

On the edge of the coin was stamped the country of issue in English and Afrikaans.

The reverse of the Krugerrand gold coin depicts a springbok motif with a stylized South African steppe landscape in the background. Likewise, the fine weight of the coin, the fineness and the precious metal are depicted on the obverse of the coin. In addition, you can see the “20 years of democracy” anniversary mintmark.
