Krugerrand 2004 Mintmark President Kruger 1oz Proof Gold

This is the Krugerrand Launch Set from 2004. This set consists of the 2004 Krugerrand 1 oz gold coin with the President Kruger mintmark.

The set also includes a medallion in honor of President Kruger and a 3D model.

The Launch Set has a very small edition of only 300 pieces.

Front:

The obverse of the Krugerrand gold coin depicts the world-famous portrait of Paul Kruger, after whom the series of Krugerrand coins was named. Paul Kruger, then President of South Africa (1883 to 1902), founded the mint from which the South African Mint emerged.

On the edge of the coin was stamped the country of issue in English and Afrikaans.

Below is the signature of President Kruger as a mint mark.

Back:

The reverse of the Krugerrand gold coin depicts a springbok motif with a stylized South African steppe landscape in the background. Likewise, the coin’s fine weight, fineness, and precious metal are shown on the obverse of the coin.

The set is packed in a beautiful wooden box. The set also includes a numbered certificate from the SA Mint.
