Overview :
On the anniversary of Rhodesia’s Declaration of Independence, November 11, 1966, the Reserve Bank of Rhodesia released special gold coins.
The edition for sale here is the 10 Shillings gold coin and this has been certified very high by the PCGS at PR67. Only 3 editions have been better certified by the PCGS in its long history.
Design:
Obverse : The obverse features a portrait of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II, looking to the right, adorned with a magnificent tiara. The portrait is surrounded by the inscription “Elizabeth the Second”.
Back:
The 10 shilling coin features an image of the sable antelope (Hippotragus niger).
