Here we present the 1978 250 Kwacha gold coin, originating from Malawi and in excellent Mint State condition. It is characterized by an extremely limited edition of just 566 pieces.

The coin has received certification from Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) and has been awarded a high grade MS67. In addition, a certificate of authenticity from the mint is part of this edition.

As a special highlight, we also offer two silver coins with the motifs zebra and antelope, resulting in a complete thematic set.

Obverse of the coin :

The face of the coin depicts a right facing face accompanied by the inscription “MALAWI”.

Reverse of the coin :

Two nyala stags are depicted on the reverse, complemented by the lower denomination. The caption reads as follows:
