This is the Krugerrand Prestige Set from 2018 in proof quality. This set consists of a total of 6 coins.
The special thing about the edition for sale is that it is certified by NGC as a “First Day of Issue” edition, with all of them having been graded with a maximum of PF70 Ultra Cameo. There are only very few copies of this worldwide (e.g. only 100 of the 1oz edition).
Front:
The front of the Krugerrand gold coin features the world-famous portrait of Paul Kruger, after whom the Krugerrand coin series was named. Paul Kruger, then President of South Africa (1883 to 1902), founded the mint from which the South African Mint emerged. The issuing country is engraved on the edge of the coin in English and Afrikaans.
Back:
The reverse of the Krugerrand gold coin features a springbok motif with a stylized South African steppe landscape in the background. The name of the coin is engraved above this motif. The coin’s fine weight, fineness and precious metal are also shown on the front of the coin.
