Here we present a Colombian gold coin worth 15,000 pesos from 1978, which is in excellent Mint State quality. This coin is part of an exceptionally limited series of only 490 pieces.

It has been surveyed by the NGC and has been awarded an impressive MS67 rating. An original certificate of authenticity from the mint is also included.

The obverse of the coin features the bust of Tomás Cipriano de Mosquera, who served four times as President of Colombia. The inscription reads: “REPÚBLICA DE KOLOMBIEN 1978 TOMÁS CIPRIANO DE MOSQUERA 1798-1878.”

The reverse shows an ocelot at the edge of a body of water. The caption reveals the details: “G. 33,437 15,000 PESOS LEY 900”, which means something like 33.437 grams, 15,000 pesos, 900 fineness.
