This is the Mexico Centenario 1931 gold coin with a value of 50 pesos from the mintage year 1931. One of the special things about this vintage is that, after 10 years, this was for the time being the last vintage coined by Banco de Mexico. It was not until 1943 that the next gold coins were to come out of the mint.
In addition, the mintage number is very low at around 137,000 pieces and thus the coin is also very popular with collectors.
