The 2021 Canada Peace Dollar 200 CAD gold coin is a high-quality collector’s edition from the Royal Canadian Mint. The coin is struck from 31.16 g of 99999 fine gold and issued in the special Reverse Proof quality. The mintage is limited to only 500 pieces worldwide.

The cover depicts the personification of peace. The figure of Pax wears a wreath of maple leaves and faces left. Next to the image are the inscription PAX, the year of issue 2021, and the Canadian motto A Mari Usque Ad Mare, translated as From Sea to Sea. The design is by Susan Taylor.

The combination of reverse-proof finish and ultra-high-relief embossing is particularly striking. The raised details appear glossy, while the background has a matte finish. This makes the peace motif stand out very clearly and gives it a strong three-dimensional effect.

The obverse features a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II after Susanna Blunt. Also inscribed are the country name Canada, the denomination 200 Dollars, and the inscription Elizabeth II DG Regina. The edge also bears the repeated inscription PAX.

This issue commemorates the theme of peace and also draws on the tradition of the Peace Dollar. The coin is delivered in its original capsule with a Royal Canadian Mint case, outer box, and serialized certificate.
