This 2014 edition was certified by PCGS with the highest grading PR70 Deep Cameo (DCAM), making it the only one currently available from PCGS.

In the center – the emblem of the Bank of Russia (double-headed eagle with wings down, below – the semicircular inscription “Bank of Russia”), framed by a circle of dots and inscriptions along the circle – at the top: “Fifty rubles”, on the left – information about the class of precious metal and alloy, in the center – date of issue “2014”, on the right – fine metal content and the mark of the mint.

On the right on the reflective part of the pane – embossed head portraits of a young man wearing a construction worker’s helmet and a girl against a mountain background. On the bottom left of the matted part of the disc – four-line inscription: “40th anniversary of the start of construction of the BAM”.

History

The Baikal Amur Magistral. A 4,324 km long railroad line through Eastern Siberia and the Far East of Russia. One of the largest railroad lines in the world. It runs about 610-770 km north of the Trans-Siberian Railway and parallel to it. The main construction phase of the main line was between 1974 and 1984.
