On one side of the Libertad gold coin you can see Victoria, the goddess of victory, as a symbol of Mexico’s independence. The motif for this was the monument El Angel de la Independencia in Mexico City.

In the background of the Libertad 2021 Mexico 1 oz gold coin you can see a depiction of the two volcanoes Popocatépetl and Iztaccíhuatl. Additionally imprinted are the fineness and the year of minting.
