This is the 1 oz 2012 edition of the famous Libertad gold coin from Mexico.
The special feature of this edition is the grading with MS70 by the PCGS. There are only 61 issues in the PCGS census with this maximum grading.
About the Libertad gold coin:
On one side of the Libertad gold coin you can see Victoria, the goddess of victory, as a symbol of Mexico’s independence. The motif for this was the monument El Angel de la Independencia in Mexico City. In the background of the Libertad 2012 Mexico 1 oz gold coin you can see a depiction of the two volcanoes Popocatépetl and Iztaccíhuatl. Additionally imprinted are the fineness and the year of minting.
The other side of the Libertad gold coin features Mexico’s national coat of arms and the text “Estados Unidos Mexicanos” (“United States of Mexico”), surrounded by ten historical forms of the coat of arms.
