Description

This is the Krugerrand Prestige Set from 2003 in proof quality. This set consists of a total of 4 coins.

The set comes with the original wooden box and the SA Mint certificate with the number 94.

Front:

The front of the Krugerrand gold coin features the world-famous portrait of Paul Kruger, after whom the Krugerrand coin series was named. Paul Kruger, then President of South Africa (1883 to 1902), founded the mint from which the South African Mint emerged. The issuing country is engraved on the edge of the coin in English and Afrikaans.

Back:

The reverse of the Krugerrand gold coin features a springbok motif with a stylized South African steppe landscape in the background. The name of the coin is engraved above this motif. The coin’s fine weight, fineness and precious metal are also shown on the front of the coin.
