Guatemala – 1926 – 20 10 5 Quetzales – Quetzal Motif – Gold – Set – Philadelphia Mint
Description
A rare complete set of the 1926 gold Quetzal coins, minted for Guatemala at the United States Mint in Philadelphia. The obverse of each coin features the national coat of arms, while the reverse depicts the national bird, the Quetzal, perched on a column, with a reference to the Currency Act of November 26, 1924. Since all three denominations were issued exclusively in 1926, the set forms a cohesive and historically significant collection. Its high-quality presentation also makes it an ideal display piece.
