This exceptional 2018 China Moon Festival Panda Jade Edition combines the popular panda motif with the traditional Chinese Moon Festival. The coin is struck from 1 oz of .999 gold and further enhanced by a bright jade inlay symbolizing the full moon.

The obverse depicts a panda in a bamboo landscape. Above it appears the inscription “Moon Festival” and the Chinese inscription for the Mid-Autumn Festival. The inset jade stone forms the moon, giving the coin a special, three-dimensional effect.

The reverse side depicts the Great Wall of China against a mountainous landscape. Above it is a celestial motif with a lunar theme, next to which is the Chinese inscription “中国·长城”. The year 2018 is located in the lower part of the image.

This coin has been certified by NGC as PF70 Ultra Cameo, the highest grade for a proof coin. The holder also bears the inscription “First Day of Issue” and a special Moon Festival Panda label. Of particular interest is the very low mintage of only 288 pieces, making this one of the most limited modern Panda special editions.
