This exclusive gold coin was issued in 1993 on behalf of the government of Bermuda – to commemorate the 200th anniversary of Bermudian coinage. The face value is 200 Bermudian dollars. The coin was minted in pure fine gold (.999) and highest proof quality – with polished surfaces, deep relief and strong matte/mirror contrast.

The specimen offered here has been certified by the Numismatic Guaranty Company (NGC) with the prestigious rating PF69 Ultra Cameo – an almost perfect condition achieved by only a few pieces of this extremely limited edition. Only 200 copies of this commemorative edition exist worldwide.

The picture side shows a classic portrait of Queen Elizabeth II , designed by Raphael Maklouf , surrounded by the inscription “Elizabeth II – Two Hundred Dollars – 1993”. The reverse side shows a stylized sailing ship with the year 1793 – a reminder of the beginnings of coinage in Bermuda, combined with the inscription “BERMUDA”. The motif represents maritime history, colonial influence, and national identity.

This issue, made of the purest 24-karat gold, weighs 28.50 g, has a diameter of 31 mm, and is one of the rarest Commonwealth gold coins ever. Only a fraction of the print run was ever offered in certified top quality.
