History

Udmurtia is located in the east of the Russian Plain, in the European Ural region between the Kama River and its right tributary Vyatka. The Udmurt Republic borders the Kirov Oblast to the west and north, the Perm Krai to the east, the Republic of Bashkortostan to the southeast, and the Republic of Tatarstan to the south and southwest.
