History

The Tsar Bell was cast in bronze by Ivan Motorin and his son Mikhail in 1733-1735.

The Tsar Bell, located in the Moscow Kremlin on Ivanovskaya Square at the foot of the bell tower of Ivan the Great, is a unique monument of Russian art of the 18th century.

The Tsar Cannon was cast by Andrei Chokhov in 1586. History knows little information about the original purpose of the huge cannon, which symbolized the power of Russia. Today the cannon is a museum exhibition of artillery guns from the 16th to the 19th centuries. The Tsar Cannon is located in the Moscow Kremlin, between the bell tower of Ivan the Great and the Church of the Twelve Apostles.
