In the center of the gold coin, in a circle of dots – the emblem of the Bank of Russia (double-headed eagle with wings down, below – semicircular inscription “Bank of Russia”). Above – nominal value: “One hundred rubles”; left – symbols of precious metal and alloy grade; in the center – year of issue “2013”; right – fine metal content and the mint mark.

In the center of the coin is a relief portrait of G.I. Nevelskoy in a naval officer’s uniform. In the background on the left a flying bird and on the right a grid with geographical coordinates and a sailing boat, below the dates in two lines: 1848 and 1855. At the top along the apex the inscription: “The Expedition of G.I.Neveskogo”.
