Yuri Gagarin: A star is born

On April 12, 1961, the world held its breath as the Soviet spacecraft Vostok 1 broke through the Earth’s atmosphere. On board was a young cosmonaut named Yuri Gagarin, the first human to venture into space. His legendary words, “Pookhali!” (“Let’s go!”), echoed through space, marking a turning point in human history.

Gagarin’s courageous act not only catapulted the Soviet Union to the forefront of the space race but also inspired millions of people around the world. His courage and pioneering spirit resonate to this day, reminding us of the limitless potential of human exploration.
