Brief description
Charismatic Conservation issue featuring the Houbara bustard . In NGC MS69 Top Pop, the piece shows very calm fields, precise contours and an exceptionally fresh appearance. This makes it ideal for a high-quality collection of Asian and bird motifs.

Highlights

  • NGC MS69 – Top Pop

  • Popular bird motif: Houbara bustard

  • Royal Mint, Llantrisant within the 1970s Conservation Series

  • Low disability insurance premium for the 50-dinar type

Context: WWF Conservation Series
The international WWF Conservation series of the 1970s combines national heraldry with endangered animal species. The coins were predominantly minted at the Royal Mint in Llantrisant, resulting in a consistent, clearly defined series for collectors with traceable mintages.

Portrait motif
The Houbara bustard is characteristic of desert and steppe regions of West and Central Asia. On the reverse side, the silhouette appears particularly three-dimensional due to the fine feather drawing, while the front side shows the bust of King Hussein bin Talal with Arabic inscription.
