100 Pesos 1992 El Escorial NGC PF67 Ultra Cameo

Here you see the 100 Pesos gold coin from Cuba from 1992 with the motif “El Escorial” from the series “The Year of Spain”.

This gold coin was dedicated to El Escorial. El Escorial is a former monastery, the official residence of the King of Spain, located about 45 km southwest of Madrid. It was built between 1563 and 1584. In fact, only King Philip II lived in the main building, but it is the burial place of most Spanish monarchs.

This coin has a small edition of only 225 pieces.

Additionally, this gold coin was certified by the NGC with the grade PF67 Ultra Cameo. Only three coins of this issue have ever received a higher certification from the NGC.
