Between 2019 and 2021, the South African Mint (SA Mint) released the “Big Five” series, following the great success of the so-called Nature series. This coin series is dedicated to five famous animals from Africa.

These animals are: the elephant, the lion, the rhinoceros, the buffalo, and the leopard.

All gold coins are minted in the highest quality, “Proof” (PP/Polished Plate), with a very limited mintage of only 500 pieces per design. Each coin comes with a numbered certificate of authenticity. The coins are encapsulated and packaged in an elegant box.

This Big Five offer as a complete Big Five Series I collection is currently unique worldwide and is only valid as long as all 5 Big Five gold coins are available in our shop.
