This exceptional gold-proof coin from Yugoslavia was minted in 1968 to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the second session of the AVNOJ . The AVNOJ, the Anti-Fascist Council for the National Liberation of Yugoslavia, convened on November 29th and 30th, 1943 In Jajce, in present-day Bosnia and Herzegovina, the fundamental political decisions that would later pave the way for the structure of the Yugoslav state were made. This makes this issue not only numismatically attractive but also a clearly historically situated document.

The design depicts a powerful figurative scene with raised flags, symbolizing the founding and liberation narrative of this era. The image is rendered in three dimensions and gains considerable depth through the proof finish with its strong contrast between polished areas and frosted reliefs.
