This exclusive coin has a worldwide mintage of only 2,017 pieces and is therefore highly sought after by collectors and coin enthusiasts globally. This platinum version was produced to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the legendary gold Krugerrand.

A highlight of this edition is its high quality rating from NGC: PF69 UCAM (Ultra Cameo). Furthermore, this is a First Releases edition with a label bearing the signature of the then-Mint Director.

Front:

The obverse of the coin features the iconic portrait of Paul Kruger, the namesake of the Krugerrand series. Paul Kruger, who was President of South Africa from 1883 to 1902, laid the foundation for the South African Mint, the mint from which this coin originated. The coin’s edge also bears the issuing country’s inscriptions in English and Afrikaans.

Back:

The reverse features a springbok design embedded in an abstract representation of the South African savannah. Above it are the words “1967 – 2017 50 YEAR ANNIVERSARY” and the coin’s name. The weight, fineness, and precious metal used are also indicated on this side.
