Here you see the Mexico 1957 Constitution Centennial. This gold medal, commemorating the first centenary of the Constitution, was issued by the Banco de Mexico in 1957 and minted at the Casa de Moneda.
This issue was certified very highly by NGC with MS67.
Front:
The obverse of the gold medal depicts a female figure in a robe, holding a book inscribed with “CONSTITUCION 1857.” A map of Mexico is visible in the background. The inscription to the right of the female figure reads “PRIMER CENTENARIO DE LA CONSTITUCION DE 1857” (meaning “First Century of the Constitution of 1857”).
Back:
The reverse of the gold medal depicts the assembly hall of the Constitutional Congress of 1856-1857 in three-dimensional detail. The inscription at the top center reads “CONGRESO CONSTITUYENTE,” and at the bottom center is engraved “1856-1857.”
