Here we present the 1 oz Krugerrand gold coin in proof quality from 1983.
This special edition has been graded and highly certified by the PCGS with PR69 DCAM (Deep Cameo).
Only 9 editions have been certified by the PCGS and there is no better one in the census; therefore, this edition is also a top pop.
Front:
The obverse shows the famous portrait of Paul Kruger, the namesake of the Krugerrand coin series. It was Paul Kruger, President of South Africa from 1883 to 1902, who founded the mint that later became the South African Mint. The name of the issuing country is written around the edge in English and Afrikaans.
Back:
The back features a design of a springbok in front of a stylish representation of the South African steppe landscape. Above this design is the name of the coin. The fine weight, purity and type of metal can also be found here. The minted year of issue is 1983.
