Ukraine 100 hryvnas 20 years declaration of independence 2011

This is the 100 hryvnas gold coin issued in 2011 to celebrate 20 years of independence of Ukraine.

On August 24, 1991, the Verkhovna Rada (Supreme Council) from Ukraine approved the Law on the Declaration of Independence of Ukraine, which ushered in a new era in the development of Ukraine as a sovereign state.

On the obverse of the coin there are: the small coat of arms of Ukraine in the center and the cross-shaped image of rushnyks (Ukrainian embroidered decorative cloths); between the rushnyks there are portraits of the most outstanding personalities of different periods of Ukrainian history. Below against the background of a rushnyk are indicated the year of minting 2011 and semicircular inscriptions: National Bank of Ukraine (top) and coin denomination (bottom): on the gold coin – 100 hryvnia (hryvnas).

On the reverse of the coin there is a wreath of viburnum fruits and leaves; in the center of it the inscription: 20 years / independence / of Ukraine; There are four decorative diamonds with the images of an airplane, combine harvester, ship and a mine, symbolizing different branches of the economy. Under the circle is the inscription: August 24, 1991.
