Libertad 2021 Reverse Proof 2 Gold Coins Set

This is the 2021 1.5 oz reverse proof set of the famous Libertad gold coin from Mexico. This set consists of the 1 oz and the 1/2 oz gold coin.

On one side of the Libertad gold coin you can see Victoria, the goddess of victory, as a symbol of Mexico’s independence. The motif for this was the monument El Angel de la Independencia in Mexico City. In the background of the Libertad 2021 Mexico 1 oz Reverse Proof Gold Coin you can then see a representation of the two volcanoes Popocatépetl and Iztaccíhuatl. Additionally imprinted are the fineness and the year of minting.

The other side of the 1 oz Libertad gold coin features Mexico’s national coat of arms and the text “Estados Unidos Mexicanos” (“United States of Mexico”), surrounded by ten historical forms of the coat of arms. The reverse of the 1/2 oz Libertad gold coin is decorated with the inscription and the eagle as the national emblem of Mexico.

The edges of the coins are fluted.

The print run for 2021 is only 500 copies.
