Krugerrand 2004 Launch Set President Kruger Privy Mark

This is the 2004 Krugerrand Launch Set titled “President Kruger” with Paul Kruger’s signature as a Privy Mark under his portrait.

The set also includes a small bust of Paul Kruger in sterling silver, weighing 6.15g.

The Launch Set has an extremely small edition of maximum only 200 pieces and is considered as “International Edition” (see certificate).

Front:

The obverse of the Krugerrand gold coin depicts the world-famous portrait of Paul Kruger, after whom the series of Krugerrand coins was named. Paul Kruger, then President of South Africa (1883 to 1902), founded the mint from which the South African Mint emerged.

On the edge of the coin was stamped the country of issue in English and Afrikaans.

Back:

The reverse of the Krugerrand gold coin depicts a springbok motif with a stylized South African steppe landscape in the background. Likewise, the fine weight of the coin, the fineness and the precious metal are depicted on the obverse of the coin. The “Star of Africa” Privy Mark can also be seen on the right of the coin.

The set is packed in a beautiful wooden box. The set also includes a numbered certificate from the SA Mint.
