This set of 4 coins was issued by Belize to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Battle of El Alamein. This battle marked an important turning point in the North African campaign during World War II, when the British 8th Army, commanded by General Montgomery, stopped the German Afrika Korps, commanded by General Rommel, in its advance to capture the Suez Canal.

Only 500 of these sets were produced, and that special about this set is that all coins have been graded very high by the NGC with PF68 or PF69 Ultra Cameo.
