This 2014 edition was certified by PCGS with a PR69 Deep Cameo (DCAM) grading, making it the only one currently available from PCGS.

In the center you can see the emblem of the Bank of Russia (the two-headed eagle with lowered wings, below – the semicircular inscription “Bank of Russia”) framed by a circle of dots and inscriptions along the edge – above: “Fifty rubles”, below: on the left – information about the precious metal and its fineness, in the center – the year of issue “2014 г. (2014), right – the fineness of the metal and the mark of the St. Petersburg mint.

History

Sergius, known as Radonezhsky, is the most celebrated saint of Russian Orthodoxy. He is venerated as the founder of Trinity Sergius Lavra and a number of other monasteries. During his lifetime, the Hegumen was known as a miracle worker and fortune teller. It is thanks to him that Russia was saved from the slavery of the Horde. Christians pray to the monk and ask him for help in teaching, fighting sins and healing.
